Trade membership · terms version 2026-10
Trade membership terms, in plain English
1. What it costs
- Monthly: £75.00 + VAT (£90.00 inc 20% VAT), taken each month.
- Yearly: £750.00 + VAT (£900.00 inc VAT), paid up front for 12 months (that's 2 months free compared with monthly).
- There are no other fees. Payment is taken by Stripe. Membership renews automatically until you cancel.
2. Trade discount and the first members
- The first 100 Trade members get 5% off catalogue hardware. Trade members who join after that get 2.5% off. Your rate is set when you join and stays the same while you stay a member.
- The discount comes off the price excluding VAT when you pay for your basket online, signed in with your membership email. VAT is worked out on the lower price. It doesn't apply to delivery, to items that are priced on quote, or to quotes.
- It can't be added to an order after it has been paid.
- The first 100 people to join pay the launch price (£75.00 + VAT a month or £750.00 + VAT a year).
- A place counts once the first payment goes through. While you're at checkout, a place is held for you for up to 32 minutes.
- The first members keep the launch price for as long as they stay members. If you cancel and join again later, you pay the price at that time.
- After the first 100, the price is 33% higher: £99.75 + VAT a month or £997.50 + VAT a year.
- The number of places left on our site is a live count. We never show a made-up number.
3. What the price lock covers
- When you're signed in as a member and request a quote with your membership email, the prices on that quote are fixed for 90 days. Normal quotes last 30 days.
- If our price goes up in that time, you still pay the quoted price. If it goes down, ask us for a new quote at the lower price.
- The lock covers the prices of the items on the quote, excluding VAT.
- Quotes you get while you're a member keep their lock until the date shown, even if you cancel your membership later.
4. What the price lock doesn't cover
- Stock. Items aren't reserved until you pay. If something sells out, we'll tell you the lead time or offer an alternative. We can't guarantee stock at the locked price.
- Delivery dates. Lead times are our best estimate from current stock and supplier data, not a promise.
- VAT and delivery charges. VAT is charged at the rate the law sets when you pay. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout.
- Changes to the quote. If you change items or quantities, we need a new quote at that day's price.
5. Membership fees back as order credit
- If you place and pay for an order of £100,000.00 or more (excluding VAT) while you're a member, the membership fees you've paid so far (excluding VAT) come back to you as credit.
- Credit is used automatically on your next order when you're signed in and pay with your membership email. It comes off the price before VAT. It can't be exchanged for cash.
- Fees are only credited once. A later qualifying order credits only the fees you've paid since the last credit.
- Credit lasts 365 days from the day it's added.
6. Early access, pre-orders and waitlists
- When we list new stock with a launch time, members can see and order it 24 hours before everyone else. Ordering in that window is a pre-order. Stock is still first come, first served.
- When you join a waitlist while signed in with your membership email, you're told before non-members.
7. Unlimited AI engineer time
- While you're signed in, you can use our online AI engineer for technical and sales help as much as you like. Non-members can send up to 20 messages every 5 minutes.
- Fair use: it's for people asking their own questions. Scripts, bots or bulk use aren't covered, and very fast automated traffic may be paused for a few minutes.
8. Signing in
- Benefits apply when you're signed in. We email a one-time link to your membership email. It works once and expires after 15 minutes. Sign-ins last 30 days on that browser.
9. Cancelling
- Cancel any time on your member page. Your membership runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then stops. We don't charge you again.
- We don't refund part of a month or year, except as below or where the law requires it.
- If you're buying as a consumer (not for a business), you can cancel within 14 days of joining and get a refund. If you've used a benefit in that time, we may keep a fair amount for the time you used.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days and your benefits carry on meanwhile. If it still isn't paid, your membership ends.
10. Changes to these terms
- We'll email you at least 30 days before any change to your renewal price or these terms. You can cancel before it applies. The first members' price and discount don't change while they stay members.
